about Rodrigo Mendoza
Born December 2nd, 1988, in Veracruz, Mexico.
He first drew interest in formal art in the 9th grade, when he was introduced to Art History, where he developed a brief yet infinite curiosity in the historical development and stylistic context within each genre, design, painting, architecture, and ceramics.
While seeking his academic expertise in Architecture in Mexico, he refined a broader spectrum of art while understanding concepts such as graphic composition, color theory, human shape, scale, and texture. Formal Art education was only provided by breve drawing courses as part of his architectural education curriculum.
Mendoza’s work consists of rough mediums, textures, subjects, and expressions as he endeavors to represent his self-taught Art process. His work continues to evolve as he focuses on the process of creating each art piece.
Mendoza lives and works in Houston, TX.
